Dielectric Coolant for Single Phase Heat Transfer Application
Chemical composition: (CH3)3SiO[SiO(CH3)2] nSi(CH 3)3
Electronil ICF 20 is specifically engineered coolant for use in immersion cooling server as a single-phase dielectric coolant. The fluid has been thoroughly tested in contact with various electronic devices and components like PCB, CPU, GPU, hard disk, power supply, capacitor, resistor, etc., It exhibits excellent thermal stability, oxidation resistance and compatibility with electronic components in server and the various materials like hydrocarbon, silicone, metals, etc.
Electronil ICF 20 heat transfer dielectric fluid (-80°C to 220°C) are clear, colorless and odorless linear Polydimethylsiloxane fluids that are characterized by their high dielectric strength, low viscosity, low viscosity-to-temperature coefficients (little viscosity change at low temperatures), low pour points, stability @ low temperatures, and compatibility with virtually all surfaces including metal, rubbers and plastics. The PSF-2cSt and PSF-5cSt are widely used in Freeze Drying and heat transfer applications that require a fluid with low viscosity and low pour point. Most essentially, it is biodegradable and green to the environment ensuring zero potential pollution.

What is immersion cooling?
With cloud computing, media streaming, and the explosive growth in AI, edge computing, and big data, society is demanding faster, more immediate access to information. This means that data centres are growing rapidly to deliver on that demand from consumers and businesses alike. The challenge? Data centres already account for roughly 1% of global electricity consumption – with more than a third of this power used for cooling electrical components. Data centres need more efficient, more climate-friendly ways to drive their operations.
Full immersion in a thermally conductive, electrically non-conductive (dielectric) coolant is a highly efficient way to keep computer components cool. It can help to cut energy consumption massively and lower carbon dioxide emissions, while reducing costs and increasing location flexibility.
